Special Delivery January 19, 2010
Grandma Fox… how did you know I LOVE bulk foods so much????
I can’t tell you how excited I was to get your package and to try all the goodies inside.
My lunch was literally a smorgasbord of all four containers!
The veggie chips are really good, but I think I have to agree with you on the Banana Split Trail Mix…..AMAZING… and very addicting. I had to hide the container in the back of our pantry because every time I opened the door I kept grabbing a handful of the mix.
It’s heavenly stuff… that I can’t stop eating!!
The girls liked the ChocoRocks best!
We couldn’t get over how much they looked like real rocks and yet still tasted good.
Thanks a bunch for thinking of us… and feel free to think of us again the next time you’re around the bulk Banana Split Trail Mix.
Happy Birthday Ella! January 6, 2010
This year we wanted Ella to decide what she wanted to do for her birthday, so Mike and I gave
her three choices of fun things we could do together as a family.
None of which, by-the-way, were partying with the mouse!
Oh well…what kind of parents would we be if we denied Ella’s last request as a three-year-old???
Once everyone scrubbed up and hand sanitized themselves a few times we sang to the birthday girl and finished
the night with cake and presents.
Ice Skating January 5, 2010
The fam headed to Lock 3 for a little ice skating the other day. We buckled on special double blade skates for the girls and hit the ice.
I probably should have asked if they had any double blades in my size. Let’s just say I have a whole new appreciation for figure skating after this experience.:)
After two very slllllloooooowwww laps around the rink Ella was ready for a break.
I was surprised Charley kept at it for a full two hours… especially since some of the kids sharing the rink were a bit hard-core. Check out the kid in the video that almost took out El in her first five seconds on the ice.
If you’re wondering if we all had a good time or if we will go back before winter ends….
Absolutely!
Tiny Dancer Preview December 10, 2009
Sorry, it’s been a while since I last posted…. hopefully I didn’t lose my three avid readers
Ella has her first dance program coming up in about a week. Here is a little preview of her funky moves!!!
Halloween Highlights November 3, 2009
Charley the Fortune Teller & Raggity Ann Ella

This one is easier to see their costumes in:

Both girls had their school “Harvest Party” on the same day. With it being Ella’s first school party I was glad hers was in the morning.
She could barely stand the excitement of eating frosted treats and digging for prizes in worms…aka: spaghetti!

Later that day Ella got to crash Char’s party… and surprisingly Charley was ok with it!

I haven’t posted with a video in a while so I thought I would make a short one of our cold and windy T-O-T day.

My littler helper and I decided to throw on our aprons and make some Caramel Corn!
It’s really butterscotch, but for some reason it comes out tasting like caramel?? Whatever you want to call it, the stuff is AMAZING!

The hardest part about cooking with Ella is every time I turn my back on her she steels the ingredients… and then looks at me like, “What?”
I went from a cup of butterscotch chips to 1/2 in a matter of seconds!

For those of you who received a treat bag filled with this amazingly addictive stuff, I’ll spare you some of the ingredient details.
Is it really necessary to ruin such a good thing??

Just the 2 of Us November 1, 2009
Mike and I took advantage of a beautiful fall morning by packing up our bikes and heading to Quail Hallow. That seems to be our favorite spot lately; we’ve been there four times this month! This was our first time checking out the mountain bike trail though, and I am so glad we did because is was really fun. It was perfect for beginners like us!

My favorite part of the trip… besides riding around in the woods with the greatest guy I know, was all the deer out looking for breakfast. We saw six throughout the four mile trail! I was amazed how close they let us get to them; they didn’t seem to mind sharing the woods with us at all.

I’m sure the only reason I feel so warm and fuzzy about the little bambis is because they didn’t cause me to crash by darting in front of my bike as I rode down the trail. Hopefully I don’t share a different story with y’all about our next trip.

What’s Fall without a trip to the Pumpkin Patch?
Thanks Nana and Grandpa for embracing the bitter cold wind to spend the day picking out pumpkins,
shuffling through a muddy corn maze and watching a pig race….YEE HAA!
